Wierd Alltel RAZR V3c problem...
I have the RAZR V3c with Alltel and when I tried to connect it to my car with Bluetooth it didn't work. I tried it for a few times and it would always pair up, but then immediately disconnect when I tried to connect. Then one day, I used 0000 as the passkey, because my phone manual said that was the "default code" (i wasn't paying much attention). Lo and behold! It worked. I even made a call with it and it worked fine. But then I go out of the car. And when I came back to drive, my BT wasn't working...I tried with the 0000 code again, but nothing happened. Everytime I try to connect, it immediately disconnects. Anyone know what the heck is wrong?
PS. I should have the latest software on my car, it was built in Sept. |

about 0000 code, yeah, reading the manual first sometimes helps
as far as you other problem, many people here have problems with bluetooth so try to search for it and i'm sure you'll find someone with a similar problem/solution. maybe even this thread will be helpful to you. good luck! by the way, i have the V3c RAZR and it pairs up no problem every time. i got it from a verizon store though, so it's not one those unlocked ones as you have.

Check the BMW web site for recommended phones. Ex.BMW lists the Rzar V3c with Verizon but not with alltel. I had the BT disconnect issue with the E815 from Verizon (had problems from day one with October purchase and Sept. production car). BMW now has a fix and today my dealer reprogrammed my entire car. My dealer was very helpful and contacted BMW about the fix and made sure they received the software ASAP. So far the fix working.
Take the car into the dealer as the BT issue does not affect all cars. There are a number of threads out now on BT. Even one lists the specific TCUs and software upgrades affected. BMW has a service bulletin out but will only fix the car if a customer complains. |

So far it looks like the software update is working for the 2 people who have had it done. Has anyone else had it done?
I need to call and make an appointment for this and a few other things. Hopefully they will have the software. I'm so glad to hear that it is actually working. |
