The Van. With all it's sleazy connotations, innuendos, and general disrespectful treatment of youth and sexuality. I truly apologize for a joke that is in extremely poor taste.

While I have had access to a van for my entire driving privilege, and often times it was a "conversion" van, there has only ever been one female I have had relations of a sexual nature with in it (consensual), and she became my wife.

I saw the 20/20 report on TV recently, the interview with all those poor athletes who were abused. It had a profound effect on my opinion of myself and my joking style.

There have been those of you on here who have a more personal, and sometimes professional experience with the trauma that is involved in abuse. You have pushed me in the direction of rethinking my attitudes, and I thank you for sharing.

Again, I apologize, and will be turning in my keys.

I think he is serious. Did someone PM you? You have nothing to apologize for. I feel bad for those women too but those crimes were perpetrated by a monster. I think the vast majority of people here get your humor and for those who don't, get a fucking life!

Self reflection. Realizing it was humorous, but the cost is too high for those who continue to suffer. Not by my direct hand, but perpetuating an action that is truly deplorable.

Chickens - Banned. Ok...gotcha. What about baby chickens (chicks) though? Because I'm sure I can come up with some double entendre about chicks in the van which will make you wince.

I keed, I keed. I'll respect the new position. I'd agree that I and probably most others certainly don't need an apology, but if you feel that you have offended someone by your comments, then I think you are showing your maturity by acknowledging it, considering your actions, and choosing to change.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Good for you.
