Hi Davey

Does this Y Cable charge the Ipod also? Does this allow you to control the music from the iDrive screen at all? (Dont think it does but thought I would ask!)

i dont have the idrive system, would this still work or does it only work with that? i havent found a usb slot on my car (e90 320d SE)

Not sure if you can display iPod info without iDrive (i.e. via the instrument panels), but without USB it will not work as this is where the display and control information is gathered from.

I you dont have a USB slot in the armrest this cable is useless to you

Without i-drive but WITH 6FL, the artists, tracks, etc are displayed on the radio's display - 2 lines at a time.
