Does it have leather ?
Guys will tell you the lack of satnav will lower its value considerably which I reckon is not so much the case over here in NI where we still seem able to read road signs to know where to go. I would have thought a BMW dealer would retail that at maybe 23 to 24k so they would probably give you 20 ish. On a private sale its somewhere in between but would have thought its easily sellable as a very attractive car. Can sometimes be hard getting a private buyer at that price level as most people need a trade in and finance facilities. Ask a few garages what they would buy it off you is another option. |

Also worth bearing in mind that prices run slightly high in NI, and lower in the north east - geographical differences can be all the difference between buy prices and sell prices on their own.

I have it on Pistonheads for 22k . - Not a single call ??
Bavarian offered 19k .Bet they'd have it on the forecourt the next day for 24995. I know that asking someone to come over my door with 22k is a lot of money, but garages only rip you off with what they offer for your car and also charge high apr ?? Why does no one just sell private and organise a private loan- i always do . I suppose people just coundn't be bothered with the hassle ....

I think people find as you are that selling private isn't always that easy and therefore they can't buy the next car private as they need a trade in facility. I would try some other smaller independent garages that deal in nice cars, they might make you a decent offer above Bavarians 19k.
Also have you advertised on Usedcarsni, very cheap and more likely to hit the NI market than Pistonheads. |
