328xi 2011, faulty passenger seat sensor - help

Hi,
I hardly ever put anything on the passenger seat and the seat sensor seems to have failed on me. I bought this recently:

I understand I need to clear codes after doing the above. Anyone in NJ/NY area willing to help? I am not good at DIY and I don't want to go to dealer for this issue.

Thanks,

Usually this is a problem with the Passanger Seat Sensor.
There is a recall on some model years.
Also there are bypass seat sensor modules if you want to go that route.

there are ton's of info on this and all years are subject to it despite them
only wanting to honour a limited number of years . I suggest you check
the BMW recall website.

A hard failure cannot be cleared until the problem causing it is fixed.
Code still needs to cleared after the emulator is installed.

Maybe your emulator is bad.
Or there is a different problem .
What diags do you have.
