Adaptive headlight error coding out

Hello all,
Need help with getting rid of Adaptive headlight malfunction error.
My car is 2006 325i
I was trying to follow this path from another thread:

“Delete 524 from VO, FA_Write to CAS and NFRM and Sg_Codiern CAS and FRM, then go to NFRM and change smc_errorcheck to Nicht_aktiv.”

So far I did this:
1. Successfully deleted 524 from VO, FA_write to CAS and NFRM. Now when I do Enter FA it doesn’t show $524 in CAS or FRM or NFRM.
2. Not sure what he meant by Sg_codieren CAS and FRM - as far as I read to change VO you use FA_write job. So I skipped that.
3. When I pull up (process ECU) ECU modules, I don’t have NFRM listed there, only FRM, so I read that module, saved to MAN file (under Revtor manipulation profile), found CMC_ERROR_CHECK and changed to nicht_active. Changed job to sg_codieren, executed for FRM module, coding done.
Turned off the car. Then started the car and message popped up again.
I feel that #1 and #3 are successful (even though I didn’t have NFRM ECU module).
Since I skipped #2 maybe it’s the culprit? But I’m not sure what I need to do there since I didn’t manipulate anything so there is no code to write (sg_codieren)
Can anybody chime in?

Tomorrow I’ll read FRM module and see if trace file has that cmc_error_check active or nicht_active

Thank you in advance.

Step 2 is important - this is what actually performs the coding in your car. FA_Write will update the stored FA, but in itself doesn't do anything to the configuration of the module, it's just a list of options your car has installed that can be used to code modules in future (e.g. if your FRM failed, you could read the FA from the CAS and use that to re-code your new FRM).

The difference between FRM and NFRM is that earlier cars had FRM1, called FRM in NCS expert. Later cars with FRM2 and FRM3 are called NFRM. Use whatever one your car has installed, in your case FRM, and ignore the other.

Thank you.
I did try that the next day - didn’t work.
If I read FRM, it does say CMC_ERROR_CHECK nicht_active now, however the error symbol still pops up.
Several people in different threads mentioned that that CAN be done through coding, don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Remove $524 from VO. Write to CAS and NFRM. Default code NFRM.

You reading nfrm and manually changing coding data defeats the purpose of VO coding (removing $524)

What is “default code NFRM”? Sorry, I haven’t coded before.
After I removed $524, I did FA_Write to CAS and FRM and NFRM, when I click Enter FA, $524 is not listed anywhere.
After that I did Process module, selected FRM and did Sg_codieren, not changing anything yet.
Only after that I read FRM module and changed to nicht_active and did SG_codieren again.
Am I misssing the step? $524 is deleted successfully
