xHP Flashtool

My brother recently bought a 335d and loves it but his first comment to me was "it doesn't shift as nicely as your 335i." I have the Alpina transmission tune on my 335i and he's referring to the quick/aggressive automatic and manual shifting in DS. I have the MHD WiFi adapter and I'm thinking xHP would improve shifting on his 335d, but can't find any info.

Does xHP offer any decent OTS tunes for the 335d (6HP28?)

Yes, get it you won't be disappointed, there are several MAPS to choose from plus you can tweak it to your own personal preferences. PM me and I can send you a mapping several of us like and can help with some of the learning curve.

My dad has it on his 335d it has help the transmission with the added power. It's not quite where he wants it yet but there are multiple files and options so I just need to spend a few hours tweaking and testing.

I've also upgraded from xHP v3 to v4 last weekend. So far i like it, it feels more responsive and sporting. D mode is comfortable for daily commuting, and I like how the warm up slush is reduced.

Question, on the change logs for v4, it states rev limiters removed. Does this mean with aggressive driving if I am downshifting, I could risk over revving the engine? Or does this mean the car still retains the engine rev limiters and won't allow a downshift that would cause over rev?

v3 worked as I'd expect, it would prevent an over rev downshift. I'm nervous to test this out. Hoping someone can chime in. Thanks.

Just wanted to add that the xhp support team has been very responsive to all of my questions.

I am still tuning my car after the RB twos upgrade and Motiv Reflex port injection e85 setup, etc.

I flashed a stage 2 xhp for now but haven't done much with that side of it yet.
I do notice the throttle blips on downshift but still need to dig deeper.

My biggest annoyance on the flash was that the MHD wifi flasher adapter was not connecting well which is not an xhp problem. It needs to have an internet connection after connecting to the car. So it means connecting to the car then unless the phone is setup to bypass the wifi for an internet connection it needs to disconnect from the wifi dongle. After the initial connection you can verify the license over the internet without it being connected to the car and then disconnect form the internet again and connect to the wifi adapter.

These wifi obdii adapters really need a wifi bridge mode so you can connect to the internet through wifi while connected... One or the other doesn't work that well for my case where I want to monitor on my car's android unit but I also want to tether to my phones wifi so the unit has internet for NAV/music, etc.

I got annoyed and just flashed it with a k-dcan cable while connected to my voltage stabilizer which was still pretty fast.
