Bmw e90 airbag coding

I am soon swapping to race seats and am interested in someone to code out all the lights I am going to get in order to pass inspection.

Is there no way to keep functioning air bags? Or do they still work and you just code the error seat out? I've been thinking of getting the braum seats.

I would think the new BMW protool android app should be able to do it. Just msg them on Facebook and ask. Then let me know

I do not like the idea of driving and not having air bags unless race cah... even then.

Assuming you have some familiarity with NCSExpert

1) Add VO option $488 (sport seat option)

OR

2) Edit ABG parameters

SIDEBAG_LINKS_1 - nicht_aktiv - left airbag
SIDEBAG_RECHTS_1 - nicht_aktiv - right airbag
OC3_1 - nicht_aktiv - occupancy sensor

You may also have the active head restraint system, in which case:
AKS_LINKS_1_CD - nicht_aktiv
AKS_RECHTS_1_CD - nicht_aktiv

You may have to remove the old seats or disconnect them electrically before you do the coding or you'll still get a CEL

I think there can be some other relevant parameters depending on model/yr/options, for example what you do about seat belts, so you may have to poke around in NCSExpert to get them all. But the above works for some people.
