What version of Android needed for MHD Tune?

I have an 08 335i and want a little more power. After a decent bit of researching, I decided I want to go the MHD route vs JB4 or Cobb AP. Only issue is, I don't have an Android device so I will need to purchase one. My question is, what version of Android does your device need to be on to use the MHD Flasher app? - I'd like to purchase a cheap tablet on eBay and use that, but I'm wary that they may have too outdated versions of Android on them. Any input would be appreciated,
Thanks!

How much did the tablet you bought cost, I don't really want to spend more than $100 on something I'm only going to use for tuning.

I use a 2013 nexus 7 that I hadn't used in 4 years.

It's got good battery life and I just leave it in the glovebox.

I only spent in dollars about $80, Just make sure its compatible with OTG cable as that is what you will need to connect the K+Dcan cable to the tablet.

I highly recommend getting a 2013 nexus 7 tablet to use for your MHD as it supports something called host most charging. It's pretty simple to root and flash a custom kernel that will allow you to use your tablet at same time as you're charging it via usb cigarette lighter. You can easily find one on eBay for $100 or less. You're making the right choice picking MHD over Jb4. You won't have any regrets!

Thanks. I'll update once I make a purchase and get everything set up.
