ipod speakers
Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a good set of ipod speakers that has the following characteristics: - Fits my 3 year old nano - Recharges the ipod when plugged in to the mains - Has rechargeable batteries so it can be played whilst portable (outside) - Good sound quality I would appreciate any recommendations |

Morning mate.
I got the Apple iPod Hi Fi from Selfridges a few years back. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Apple-ipodhi.../dp/B000ETZ9SK The sounds is really good, works well outside and it easily fills a decent sized room with full sound, the bass is deep and punchy. To my ears it sounds much better than the Bose dock. It plugs into the wall or uses 4 "D" batteries if I remember correctly, and you can control it with one of Apple's little white remotes. It comes with a selection of dock adapters so you will be able to find one for your iPod and it does charge it whilst playing your tunes. Have a look at one if you can. Hope this helps pal. |

apart from batteries the Klipsch I bought blows everyone's socks off... literally !
I had two to give as presents to family members this christmas who had heard mine and really wanted one. I guess you'll need to compromise if you need battery power too ? SJ |

Thanks
Portability is important for holidays, barbeques etc so ideally I want something compact and light |

The first Sound dock I bought for my first iPod was the First generation Bose one.
This has now been updated to include a portable version That will take some beating. Had I not invested in a B&W zepellin as my main dock I'd still be using my Bose today - is a great bit of kit (but it's now pulling duty in the kitchen).

i bought my daughter a bose sound dock 3 years ago and its sound rocks. the new updated version is better as it has rechargable batteries.
my sister has the Zeppalin...... that IS one mother of a good looking piece of equipment..... but i think it does not meet your requirements. Dario
