Anyone have the "Climate Comfort" Windshield Option?

Getting ready to have windshield replaced w/ Pilkington glass due to crack in my factory non-comfort glass.

The upgraded "Climate Comfort" glass is only about $100 more. Is it worth upgrading? From what I've read the glass has an IR Coating w/ slight purplish tint to help keep the sun out. I suppose this would improve visibility and protect my Black Dakota Leather seats in the process.

I think it's Plug-N-Play aside from requiring basic INPA coding to initialize the Rain & Light Sensors.

Has anyone upgraded to this? Or have this option from factory? Is it worth it? Please share!

No I don't have it. Yes, I'd pay $100 for it

I had my insurance replace my windshield and they got me that one. Its got a nice slight tint to it. I don't think there is any coding. Rain and light sensors work fine. Unless your car didn't come with rain sensor?

Nice, thanks for the response. Does yours have the BMW logo in the lower corner by the driver side, or is it aftermarket?

I originally wanted the OEM glass w/ the logo, but my bodyshop can get me Pilkington aftermarket glass for way less $. Apparently the only difference is it doesn't have the logo.

Just a heads up. Was talking to my body shop about replacing the windshield (mine is cracked) and they warned me to get the OE glass. They have had many problems with the rain sensor working properly with aftermarket glass. The difference in price for me is only about $100 OE to aftermarket.
