Upgrading e90 330d front brakes to 335d

Hi,

I am considering upgrading my front brakes from the stock 330mm to the 335d or LCI model's 348mm discs, since other than the purchase of the calipers, the discs seem to be similar in price.

However my car has the 17 inch Style 160 wheels and I am wondering if the larger brake discs will fit with these wheels. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Also, will the larger discs and new calipers require coding or is it just a straight swap?

Thanks

I have done it and it seems to fit OE 17" wheels (tried a few).

The swap is pretty straightforward, basically the reverse of disassembly aside from the fact that you will have to bleed the brakes afterwards. Be sure to check the condition of the brake piston, if need be, it's a great opportunity for a rebuild. Also, lacking experience with BMW, I installed the centering spring retainers incorrectly.
