Tried something different.
Wheels weigh about 16lbs a rim and wanted to fit more rubber. Waiting on some photos from someone that's photo savvy. Here's some cell phoners for now Apex ARC-8 Toyo Proxes R1r 17x9 245/40/17 17x9.5 275/40/17 ECS Tuning 5mm Spacers Last edited by Leather_Lung; 08-26-2015 at 03:29 PM.. |

I have to agree with everyone. That looks pretty dope for 17". I think it helps that your wheels are black too. It's an illusion so that the wheels don't appear so small (as if it were silver) |

He is also using 40 profile tires which is the proper size for 18s, if he was on the correct 45 profile tires for 17 inch rims it would look more like a normal 17.

17s wouldn't do well with cornering unless it's on low profile tires. Tall slicks for drag maybe but then they're track dedicated wheels. I agree. 17s look lame. 18s average. 19s great. 20s+ ghetto on our cars.

Everyone knows 17inch in lighter... if anyone is running a 17 inch wheel with a fat tall tired it's going to be for drag racing and roll racing, most people on here will not even take their car to a track at all so they just do it for looks. And I have seen plenty of people with 17 inch wheels in person with fat ass drag tires on them and the car looks badass. But just like everything else it comes down to your personal opinion...,except 20inch+ wheels...no on should have them on this car 😂

I like the look of 17's. And I like not rolling on rubberbands anymore as well. I want to put something meatier on my stock 17" style 285's square setup. They come 225/45 I was thinking 245/40. Do you guys think that would be too wide for the 8" rim?
