Alpina D3 rep - opinions wanted

Instead of going M-Sport retro fit to spruce up my SE spec E90 i was looking at front corner splitters which then lead me onto the Alpina front splitter.

As my E90 is pre-LCI and has a boot lip spolier all i need is the splitter to make it a Alpina Rep. ok not got the alpina boot lip (actually prefer mine to the alpina one) nor got Alpina alloys but they are 19's, retro and multi spoke like the Alpina.

Now the controversial question.......badges

Would fitting Alpina badges put me in M badge wanker category....as its not an official Alpina?

I've considered putting a D3 badge in place of the 320D on mine, but I'm not sure either. i half think it does fall under the M-badge wanker category :P

but then the other half of me thinks, it has all the important Alpina bits, so why not!

Yes it would.

Not massively keen on the styling. Always thought that if I got one I'd colour code the lettering on the front splitter and dare I say it, remove the lettering on the boot.

I have thought about smoothing out the lettering on the front if I was to get the splitter.

Its your car, you shouldn't care about other people opinion, if the badge makes you feel better put the badge on!

Personally I like to debadge my cars too.

Was about to suggest that. Why not smooth the Alpina logo and then paint. Would look good IMO.

True it is your car so put whatever badge on it your want, but where does that stop? Are you going to stick a Merc badge on it? Ferrari?

If it's not an Alpina, it's not an Alpina, simple.

It's your car but personally I can't see the point in badging something it's not.

Who are you trying to fool - yourself, your mates or the guy you pass at the bus stop?

very true, I've always quite fancied fitting the front splitter but the Alpina rondells has always left me torn.

if I was going full rep then maybe I could justify it but to just do the splitter and rondells it's half a job and is obviously trying to be something it's not.
