WOW!
As per our PMs, yes you may have sacrificed nav, but the Logic 7, Piano Black trim and Oyster leather are absolutely lovely - a very rare car! Absolutely beautiful. And I am glad I found this thread as I have been waiting to see an LCI 335i E91 on Eibachs and MV3s... This is it! I now have a very good idea of what I can expect mine to look like... Which is perfect. Not too low, but a nice even arch gap fr. and rr. Lovely! PS, recent addition will set it off PPS - Epic job on the wet sand!

I'm one that likes a bit of orange peel. But that's the worst I've seen from a factory finish.
Take it easy, and never touch the egdes with the machine. Looking good. |

The orange peel is pretty bad, and in places, the paint depth is quite thin IMO. I'm also not chasing every last bit of peel. There is still a little, even in the sanded panels. And you're dead right about the edges!

Superb job!! What pads and polishes do you use, if you don't mind me asking?

Pads wise, I use 3M pads. Either Green compounding, Yellow polishing or blue finishing pad. Polish wise, 3M Fast Cut Plus or Sonax Cut Max on a green pad, Sonax Cut and Finish on a yellow pad and finally, Sonax Perfect finish on a blue pad. All wiped down with CarPro Eraser before waxing! |

Using a rotary is easy.
People make it out to be much more of a challenge and dangerous than it actually is. You just have to be careful when polishing on swage lines or panel edges.

I still have a DA that I use on Japanese car bumpers and side skirts, as they can be a nightmare with a rotary, but otherwise, it's rotary all the way. |
