Steve,

What kind of times were you turning at Laguna when I was behind you?

Were you able to run better times than your Audi pal?

I'm assuming YES...

Ah...no..I think I was running about the same...that Audi has mad power..it is a Stage 3 car...when I first went on track with him back in april 07 he ate me alive..I was totally stock. Now after a bunch of mods..and a SSTT...and 100 octane..it is more close. To be honest..I think he has me slightly...I heard the following day he was having issues with his car..maybe he was down a little bit on power.

Harold...I dont have a transponder..so I dont have any official times..what were you running? Was your girlfriend/wife timing you?

Just a friend of mine.

I had a transponder...When there was a clear track, I was able to clock 3 laps all with in 0.2 seconds of each other just at a bit over 1:47. I think you are at least a second quicker. The understeer and not knowing where to set the tire pressures on the new Pilot Sport Cups probably hurt me. I should be running in the 1:45s.

I'll be installing a set of anti-roll bars from Hotchkis in a few weeks. Then it is back at Laguna on April 7th for more testing!

you shouldnt have much understeer with your set up..that is interesting. I think I would need the HKS rear bar if I was running a staggered R compound setup...but I am trying to maximize tire longevity...hence the uniform set up. I would love to have some more negative camber up front..it really would have helped in turn #2, #3, and #4. Yes, having the wrong pressures on the Pilot sport cups would hurt..you said you were up at about 40 hot then?

I am gonna try to get a transponder..the one I got last tiime was on a group buy..it was an AMB transponder...but I sold it with my Miata race car.. My old BMW race car had one too..hot lap timer...and I mistakenly forgot to remove it before I sold it. Ugh.

The fronts got up to 42 hot, I knew it was too high and lowered it...but I think it will take me some time to sort it all out.

If you would like a set of Hotchkis anti-roll bars, please let me know.

Those are some nice pics, I dream of racing in Laguna! By any chance, it appears you are running with harness belts, how did you manage to secure them within regulations? For the next time, have the Audi read your plate!

It is really that the shots are being taken with the car really in action..and compressed. It doesnt look like that at rest...either Harold's car or mine.

Very nice guys. I live in Utah so we only have a half a year to race out at our new track. I'm getting my car prepped right now!

Are there people at tracks that would give lessons to novice drivers? Or would they be scared to hop in the passanger seat of a rookie that's requesting driving tips?

BTW your AW bimmer is looking more than awesome. LOVE your setup! Looks like I got a new background
