I got mine done at LA Tint Alexandria by Sarath. Price for 35% Pinnacle F1 + Vinyl on Rear Dot Matrix was about 300 (tax included). I'll put up pics when I get a chance to wash my car HAHA.

Can someone please explain/show me a picture of the dot matrix and explain the solution so I don't sound like an idiot when I go to have my car tinted.
Thanks!

It's the ugly row of dots across your rear window and down the side of your door windows, you can't miss them. The place I went said they couldn't get rid of it, but they'll know what you're talking about if you ask them.

^^price depends on the type of tint you are getting
there is regular dyed film, metallic tint, and ceramic tint. metallic and ceramic are always more expensive. |

+1 for Driven Dynamics. Just have two front windows tinted on my truck there, great quality and service. I have chosen the 3M FX 35% film.

He said the only things they would do are tint over the dot matrix, or cut the tint right before the dot matrix. |

if they tint up to the dots, then you can create your own vinyl overlay i guess

Well, out of the four e92s I looked at yesterday during the CP meet, only 1 had the vinyl applied. All the others had the crap tint job on the dot matrix like mine.

ok is there any place in the Montgomery County area that does good work and uses viny with the dot matrix? I would like to get my windows tinted today. I will be calling Driven Dynamics to ask if they can do it?

Just called "Driven Dynamics" and they said that they are getting ready to do a e92 with vinyl applied but they have to see how it turns out. If it turns out ok they will start offering that service again. was quoted at $179 for four windows and and rear. and $50 for the Vinyl. 229? is that good price or is there another place around here that can do the same for less.

If I could do it over again, I would take my car to LA Tint in VA. Seems like they do the vinyl regularly and actually recommend it opposed to these other places. I don't think any of the shops in Montgomery County know how or care to do the vinyl. They seem satisfied handing over a car w/ a bubbled dot matrix. |
