Advice on selling "faulty" parts

Do breakyards still buy those parts?

Background:

Ok, just to be clear these are parts which could be faulty.

I had some misfiring issues and have decided to throw new parts in my car.

Cause of the misfires were unclear based on the codes, so I decided to change all 6 injectors and the HPFP. The error codes pointed to cylinders 1,2 and 3.

All the injectors that were removed are genuine BMW ones, not sure which ones failed ( they could all have failed and/ or only 2 or 3 of them failed, I seriously don't know).

I also have 6 coil packs which were removed previously. (They didn't work well when the car was remapped but there were no issues when the std map was on the car). Again, I don't know which ones failed.

Where can I sell those parts and are they worth anything?

Ebay is probably your best bet. Clear description, no refunds e.t.c.

A low enough price and someone will take a punt.

plus 1....and put the fact there could be a fault in bold so that low life idiots don't buy it and then waste your time trying to claim they didn't know. I think one of the categories is also something like 'faulty'. Select that.

Best of avoiding the mouth breathers who seem to like bidding on my stuff

If you only want people to pay cash, they can inspect on collection etc. and there isn't much risk of having to refund.

If you need to post them out and the buyer is paying with Paypal, be as open and transparent as possible in the advert. What you don't want is 3 months down the line for someone to open a Paypal dispute and if the goods are faulty and not as described, they will most likely get their money back at your expense.

Either way, honesty is the best policy. If you think that 3 injectors are good, that's still going to be worth something.

Also list on Gumtree as it doesn't cost anything
