Uprated Clutch for M47 320d?

Looking for a cheap way to uprate the clutch in my 320d ( car isnt worth much so not paying 7-800 on Sachs Performance etc...)

Im sure I have read somewhere that an e90 330d Pressure plate can be used with the 320d friction plate to give a little more clamping pressure?

I currently have a LuK DMF/Clutch kit fitted but is now starting to slip due to the higher Torque/bhp Im running.

Thoughts?

Cheers.

Done my own research.

For reference have gone with standard LuK Repset for the car and have also ordered a 325/330d Pressure plate to fit in place of the 320d one.

If anyone is doing the same in future, you need part number LuK 124041310 for the 330d pressure plate.
Hope this helps someone else as info is abit lacklustre on these forums if thinking outside the box. 🙄

For future reference for those that might need it..

As you can see, pressure plates identical in every way apart from the 330d on the left has much beefier 'fingers' to allow for increased clamp pressure (as the 6cyl diesels have more torque over their 4cyl counterparts from factory.)

So, Im having a new 320d LuK DMF along with LuK 320d Friction plate and Release bearing, and with the 330d LuK Pressure plate in place of the 320d one.

Will report back when done. Hopefully it will take everything I can throw at it after... 😎

All fitted and seems fine so far....
Pedal has slight 'different' feel to it but if anything it is lighter than it was before!.
Certainly no need for the extra spring mechanism on the pedal that 330ds use IMHO.

So you went with 325/330d pressure plate bearing part no. LuK 124041310. And used same 320d friction plate, release bearing and dmf. Do you have the 6 speed box on your m47? I've heard some people say that they switched to a 5 speed box together with some more modifications and found that the dmf from the 5 speed performed better. How did it go so far? Is it actually better and can It handle more abuse and last longer than standard setup? Thanks
