Electrical Issues
I’ve got a 2007 BMW 335i, FBO With stage 2 MHD tune.
The car has being going into limp mode at various times with no real pattern. I’ve attached the codes I’ve been getting, the latest one 3100 code can’t be cleared. I assume it’s an electrical issue but I don’t know where to start? Also the power will surge when maintaining a constant speed, could that be o2’s, injectors? Any help would be great! |

A failed or clogged VANOS solenoid will cause the car to go into limp mode, I would address that first.

Try swapping the solenoids with each other to see if the code changes from intake to exhaust cam. If it stays you may be looking at failing cam ledges
