Connection pipe from small turbo to charge pipe missing bolts/brackets

Howdy M57 Family,

I am working to diagnose a boost leak on my 2010 335d (180k). I went ahead and removed the intake/air filter housing and removed the boost charge pipe (AA Rodreguez upgraded part) and removed my intercooler to check for signs of a leak from there.

Everything looked decent besides the exterior of the charge pipe being covered in soot/oil. Intercooler had an oil residue inside it, but no standing oil whatsoever. After getting that all removed I start to take a closer look at the turbo connection pipes themselves and noticed something very strange.

The connection pipe that runs from the upper turbo to the charge pipe connection is missing 2/3 brackets and bolts that are supposed to hold it in place (I think..).

the attached picture you can see that the left connection pipe has 2/2 bolts and brackets, while the right connection pipe running to the charge pipe connection only has 1/3 bolts/brackets.

I am going to take a wild guess and say that this could be a major boost leak as I can wiggle that right side connection pipe just slightly by hand, while the other doesnt even budge no matter how hard I yank on it.

I've ordered the brackets and bolts from FCP euro after looking up the part numbers on realoem.com.

Wondering if anyone else has ever seen this before, as I cant believe that they just fell out over time? Any advice or help is always appreciated.

Thanks!

They're not missing, that's the way it comes from the factory.
