What do you think of this E92

Just wondered what you guys think of this E92, mainly about the looks, I've always wanted an individual colour, i know it isn't high spec but I'm not that bothered about things like professional media.

I love the colour, reminds me of a 335i in the states owned by Sean Rho which is a wrapped car but very similar colour:

i think its one of the best colours for the e92/e93. I almost changed mine a month ago for this, but backed out when we couldnt do a deal with me current e92. 330d Santorini Blue, Oyster interior and Piano Black trim

Nice,

but i think if that is the price bracket you are looking in there are NICER choices out there!

Colour is not gorgeous, but £ v Buck there is lot more you can get for 19k

+1, some dealers know certain people will pay extra for an individual colour and whack an extra couple of grand on top. Also its a manual, my last 320d manual wasn't nice to drive so changed to an auto.

I agree with this.

Depends what your priorities are.

If it's colour above all else, then it's probably a good choice if that's what really ticks your box.

A couple of other options (better spec).

There seems to be quite a few 320d Sport Plus models for that kind of money with that kind of mileage as well.

Personally, I'd go for something with a little higher mileage, bigger engine and better spec for the kind of budget you're looking at.

Also, if the colour is always going to be a marmite thing. Some people will love it, others will hate it - so thinking ahead, I think it's better to get a higher spec car in a colour you like.

Whilst you're saying you aren't bothered about spec - there are a lot of people that are - and when it comes to selling it, you'll be selling a 320d (of which there are millions) where the only selling points really are the wheels are nice and the colour is different from most.....which may put off as many people as it attracts.

For the record, I love the colour. I also like white with coral red leather interior, and generally the weird individual interior colours! But for me personally, the spec is always the bigger consideration. Nice wheels are easy to sort out yourself for not much money, so really shouldn't be a consideration IMO, as you can just factor this into your budget.

Lovely colour, but it is £19k for a 4 year old 320d in poverty spec.

Put an offer in for £17k and pay off the finance early.

£19k for that makes no sense when you can have this for £25k.

putting in a Nation wide Auto Trader search for 3 series diesels tween 17500 and 19000 there are 308 hits just on AT!!

Take your time have a look and you will find a better one than the car you put up for us to have a look. Some will not suit, some will be dogs, but quite a few will open your eyes further than what you posted on here!

PS. Nation Wide......Don't be a lazy git and be prepared to travel to find the right Car! Far too many people are put of as they might have to travel beyond their tiny little village in the depths of the countryside!

Santorini Blue is a gorgeous colour, but I wouldn't pay a markup for it IMO. It's a flat colour so a gloss wrap will match it very closely.

The other thing to consider is that if you find one at a BMW dealer somewhere miles away, they will often transport it down for you to view. This was certainly the case with Coopers.

Thanks for the replies, some good points made and have taken them on board.

Wasn't planning on paying the asking price as like you say it is a bit high. I have purchased several cars from Coopers in the past and have always managed to get between £1500 and £2200 off their forecourt price, and that was on lesser value cars than this one. So i would be hoping to get it for about £17000 which i think is a fair price.

I am in two minds now as would really like a 3.0L diesel, i have never driven one but have heard it is a superb engine.

Going to go and take a look at the one in the link tomorrow anyway, it's not far away so won't take long. But i am thinking to myself now that even if i do like the colour i might not buy it anyway as the more i think about it the more i want a 3.0L.

It will be worth taking a look anyway just to see what the colour is like in the flesh.

But the general consensus seems to be that it is a nice colour, some people love it some just like it, but nobody seems to dislike it, which is the info i was looking for when starting the thread.

I still wouldn't pay 17k for it. once you walk out . it will worth less than 15k. Gonand search similar spec car and see what they go for to get an idea. special paint gets you a few hundred extra

Buy any car from any dealership and you've flushed 2 grand down the toilet before you pull out of the dealership

Thats the nature of the beast unfortunately

In this case it will be even more. Its clearly overpriced. a few months on the dealer would drop the price.
