Out of curiosity, why does it matter if the bumper comes off or not? Any decent body shop would take it off to as its easier to paint once off & no need to mask off other body parts.

as above it does not need to come off but any decent garage will take it off as said above less masking etc...as for fibre glass reinforcing i wouldnt... i would use plastic resin and mesh if he wants to reinforce at the back

I have a lot of after market audio in the trunk. The left side has the CD changer wall housing my JL 600/6... under the liner is my JL 500/1 v3 Slash... and the right side has my Gladen SQX10 subwoofer in the boot wall.. I ran some of the cables under the internal lip liner... anyhow I have uninstalled the bulk of it and marked it up with labels... I trust the guy but it would be more work for him if he had to sort my wires out and carefully put things aside... oh and I trust him but I don't really know anyone else at the unit... and I have had a sub nicked before... at a dealership would you believe of all places.

Great! Thanks for the info on the plastic resin and mesh. I will suggest it to him.

You can remove the rear bumper without going in the boot!

Was watching a video uploaded on here on how to remove the bumper... he goes into the boot and removes the internal cover for the n/s/r light cluster and the o/s/r interior panel covering the battery and manual fuel flap release...

I am going to have a look at this tonight and see if that is the case...

Thanks
