Forum favourite ODB reader?

I'm looking into getting an OBD reader for use the Torque Android app and I was wondering if there was one popular with users on here. There seem to be quite a few out there. I have pretty much settled on the one below.

What do others use?

Have you tried using it with other apps ?

I purchased two recently and neither would work with any app other than torque

Apps I wanted to try are:
Carista
Carley BMW

I would happily buy the Carley adaptor if I knew it would work on other vehicles but they wont give me an answer

I would just add a word of caution "Buy cheap, buy twice".

Been there, done that - bought a very similar cheap bluetooth OBD2 adapter and ended up buying the Carly one as well.

I did wonder how much of muchness the readers were. Slightly weary of such a cheap one as you say, so I'll check out the Carly one. Cheers. I assume it will play nice with Torque as well as the Carly app?

Never had the need to try it to be honest but the wife has a Fiat 500 so I could try that if you like.

I have that mini one and a cheap large one. Both work fine with Torque and Bmwhat. Have also used them on other manufacturers, Lotus, Renault, Nissan and Skoda.
