Feeler--Rotora 6/4 Piston Caliper Kit

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
For e90/92/93 335i

Asking $2000.

I can't believe I'm even thinking of doing this but it might need to be done.
I absolutely love these brakes but I'm going to need the extra cash due to a new addition to my family (we're fostering-hoping to adopt- a baby boy).

Currently, I am running the Rotora 6 piston caliper up front and 4 piston in the rear and using the EBC yellowstuff pads. The yellowstuff is absolutely superb for the street/track and they last a very long time! I've done a couple track events on these pads and they hardly look used.

So, this is what would be for sale if it were to happen:

-Rotora 6 Piston Caliper with SS lines (Mounting Bracket Included)
-Titanium Shims for Rapid Heat Disipation (Front Calipers Only)
-EBC Yellow Stuff Front Pads (Almost New)
-Rotora 4 Piston Caliper with SS lines (Mounting Bracket Included)
-EBC Yellow Stuff Rear Pads (Almost New)

You use your OEM rotors with these calipers!
The installation is very straight forward! You take off your OEM calipers and remove the lines.
Install the Rotora brakes and SS lines, and bleed your system.
You have your new 6/4 piston calipers!!

Here's some pics of the brakes with the different wheels that I've had. The last picture shows that a 17" wheel will still fit over this setup!

I don't know to be honest. I believe that they're about 2800 plus tax/shipping, so if I get a good offer I just might take it.

These are great calipers and I've been extremely happy with them.
It's just that my priorities need to change a bit, but I will definitely keep the car.

Updated with gunmetal wheels. Sorry about the dirty calipers, but it gives you an idea with the different looks.
The calipers clean up very well.

your calipers look to be in very good condition. i bought mine used and they have scratches, and nicks in several spots - from rocks, etc, flying around i assume - but either way yours look REALLY good.

a "big brake kit" on this car is silly to me...

the stock rotors are HUGE already... 13.7" front, 13.2" rear... most big brake kits step up to a 14".....

True. If you are looking for looks then yes, but the best thing about these calipers is that I can still run my 17" Koseis for the track and that is worth so much right there.

There have been people who have changed out their OEM rotors to drilled/slotted rotors for the looks.

These calipers are seriously the best bang for your buck!

The first person to give me 2k will have them shipped to your door!

Not at all.
The e92 brakes are the same exact brakes as the e90 and e93.

The rotors are the same. The hubs are the same.

e90 brakes can easily be taken and installed on an e93 and e92.
It's the Xis that I believe might be different.

How much were these brand new? I didnt know you could simply buy the calipers off a BBK and use them with stock rotors. As mentioned above, the stock rotors are farely large already and stopping power is good enough for me since I dont track my car. Anyone know if the calipers can be perchased from other BBK's?

Rotora is the only company as far as I know that sells a "Caliper Kit".
This is a caliper kit!

You'd be surprised to see the difference in these calipers when compared to the OEM calipers.
Let's take the front for example...We are comparing 6 pistons to transfer heat compared to 1 large one.
Also, I calculated the surface area of both pads to see how much more friction is being applied to the same rotors.
It's right here:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...9&postcount=14

Yes, the rotors are large already but the OEM calipers are no comparison to these.
