may be an issue if the item got lost or damaged during transit (the shipper would only be able to claim what the declared amount was)

Some images my diff pulled apart
I marked each part on one side of the diff so it goes back in the same way. Inside off diff and bearings look perfect. None of this was difficult to pull apart. The hardest part was buying a torx bit. Only because it ended up costing me $150 odd dollars, I had to buy the whole torx set plus a 3/8 ratchet and 2 extensions ( I bought a long extension and it was too long so I had to buy another short extension.) Some ATM intercooler I installed Vs Godspeed 6 inch.
Godspeed worked fine for daily driving and 3rd gear wot runs. But in 30c+ the top of fourth gets a bit hot so I upgraded. Last edited by Brule; 07-31-2015 at 12:40 AM.. |

All it shows is that ATM intercooler has about 6-7 rows below the bumper not in direct airflow and the godspeed only has 3 not in direct air flow.
ATM has 8-9 rows in direct air flow, godspeed has 6. |

yeah I have a good relationship with MOTIV Motorsport and they will declare the value of the goods on the Customs documents at whatever I request. I just brought in a MOTIV twin-plate in Super Street trim with no hassles whatsoever. I will say that MOTIV's International shipping rates are bit exy' but I will be speaking to Jake about that and ask that he sharpens his pencil if at all possible. Either way you are still in front when you are not paying around 15% extra on top of an item that costs almost $3K AUD. Cheers, JD. |

Update
Diff Is getting done first thing Monday. It's only been there 3 weeks, which is normal in Darwin. I just got them to take the ring gear off,put it on the new diff and pull off and press on the "things" on each side of diff, then will put it back together. Once its together I'm going to check backlash. If its not within .003 - .007 thousands of inch i will take it to get custom shims. My clutch should be here any day and will be going straight to shop to be installed after diff is back together. Looking for HKS exhaust at the moment, i have found they have dropped price a fair bit and the cheapest so far has been $1103 US but shipping was $1186 US. ebay and a few others are selling for around the 1200-1300US mark + shipping around 500US |

Clutch has arrived.
Diff still hasn't been done so I picked it up and will take it to someone else. HKS exhaust are hard to get. I have emailed approximately 8 business's including hks Australia and hks US and no one can ship to Australia. hks Australia said to contact hks U.S, hks U.S said to contact hks Australia. |

I helped a forum member get one from the usa, through a guy I use to use for bulk shipping from the usa (he use to bring over a container full of muscle car parts once a month) but then the custom reg changed so that you have to pay gst duty on every item in the container which made shipping prohibitively expensive....
did you want some shipping provider details? |

Some images of what i have done this morning.
last three images are of the ring gear on new mfactory LSD. Who ever said you could DIY a bolted diff is full of it. It probably is still going to cost me the $1000 and I'm DIY. You need a bearing race puller, who has one of those? I finally got my 10 bolts undone off the ring gear. You cannot do it with normal half inch socket set, with a 300mm breaker bar on the 19mm socket on the bolt attached to a 450mm shifter used as an extension to the breaker bar , trust me. Tried battery rattle gun but it didn't have enough power, then I went and bought a 600mm breaker bar which was still hard but doable. Had to buy a vice and mount it on my ute. The whole car was shaking, that's how much it took to undo these bolts. Its killing me having my clutch sitting here and I cant get the diff back in. I'm booked in at another place on the 31st to pull the bearing races, then ill put it back together and check tolerances. |
