wiring harness junction box under throttle body

I have a 2007 328i N51 engine. I pulled the intake manifold and the wiring harness junction box under the throttle body. Now I'm putting it back together and have a plug left over and can't figure out where it goes. It's a short cable so has to be close but I don't see anything it could plug into. In this link you can see the plug: https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1Q...Jkjgpr-31_7Xcu
The wiring harness is part # 7555016 but I couldn't find a wiring diagram for it. Hoping someone can tell me what I'm missing here.

Were you following a written procedure, or just disconnecting whatever looked like it should be pulled? If you were following a procedure which correctly identified components/ connectors to be disconnected, it's just a matter of finding that connector in TIS circuit diagrams.

If NO written procedure to retrace, just look for some component with one or two male pins that connector is supposed to fit. Start with the Crankcase Vent Heater that's under the #3 cylinder intake manifold tube when assembled. Here's the wiring diagram for that (E65390 in diagram) and here's the "Connector View" of Connector X65390.

If you have had the Breather Heater recall performed, perhaps someone failed to reinstall the connector on new Heater Element.

If all else fails, examine the color(s) of the wire(s) that attach to the female socket you show, and post back with what you find.

connector's there from my memory doing same a few months ago:

- throttle body (from picture connected already)
- alternator (don't remember the type)
- starter (don't remember the type)
- MAP (top right side on manifold, don't remember the type)
- MAF (not the kind shown in your picture)
- DISA valve connectors (not the kind shown in your picture)
- Breather heater (not the kind shown in your picture)
- O2 sensor connectors that fish up the intake manifold to top of engine (not the kind shown in your picture)

The type of connector in your picture looks same as the one used at the oil pressure switch and engine coolant temperature sensor that are located at the oil filter housing area. It could be the starter but why would you have removed it?

Starter is one wire connector I think.

Looking at Pelican parts intake manifold removal pictures, last one has "purge solenoid electrical connector" mentioned. I remember disconnecting the vent hose but not the connector on it, but my memory is not that clear. From the picture the connector is same type as yours.

The other thing from the pictures at Pelican parts, I see a connector similar that goes into the junction box on the front left side. Hard to tell from the picture:
