I have 8 % Limo tint all the way around...No one can see in, even in the Sunniest of Days and I LOVE IT. The front windsheild tint is a must go lighter if worried about getting in trouble.
FYI Having your front 2 windows lighter than your back 2 looks horrible and never do it. I now dont like driving in cars without tinted windows...seems to be common among other people with tints too. |

ask your dealer....I have tinted my last three leased BMW's and just returned them normally they didnt say anything. But when i called in they said no because the tint on the rear window when it needs to be taken off sometimes they cut the heating wires to the rear window and have to replace the windshield. I asked my tint guy and he said he has never heard of that happening. If the tint is only 5 years or newer on the car it never happens. So just tint it. The car was meant to have tinted windows it looks way better.

When I first ordered my car...my dealer did not do their own tints. They would refer out to a local shop that did all of their tint requests. I decided to get mine done at a different shop that was recommended to me by friends. However...when I did pick up my car (2 months after initial order) the dealer told me that they were now tinting cars in house. But the prices were ridiculous!!! So, I kept my plans to tint at outside shop that was recommended to me.

I went to a shop recommanded by people.
Realized, its the shop that does tints for BMW/Mercedes in our local town. $215 for 32% front, 22% rear/rear windshield. I had to sign a waiver, saying im responsible for the illegal tint.

BMW 325i Titanium Silver/black interior
For anyone interested, I have a VLT of 15% all the way around in the car. I am from Florida and having a tint like this really helps and it looks awesome!!

Hey, I've been looking into getting my car tinted all around. A lot of people have said to get the ceramic type tints, such as Huper Optik. I have Navigation/iDrive. It looks like a lot of people on here on getting other types of tints (non-ceramic) and it looks good.
If you have a non-ceramic tint, and Nav works fine for you, can you please post what brand of tint you got, and how much you paid for it. Also, a guy I asked to quote me Huper Optik 30 all around said he had to do 2 peices for the back window, and he would put the seam on one of the defrosting lines. Does that sound right to you guys? Quote was $350. |

I have the semi metallic film and everything works fine. But you have to understand that iDrive is not affected by the tint, the Sat Antenna is the fin, so it doesnt hinder signal reception.
