6 Series.

Not sure if this is news, but I've just been reading about the 635D as a coupe or convertible.
It looks like they have stuck the 3 litre twin turbo (335D) in the 6er.
The figures that their quoting seem very similar in terms of performance etc, with the exception of the £££, which is £53,910 - 61,800

Looks like BMW are looking to have a car for every buyer in every sector, clever move.

Yes, read about this in autoexpress this week. Are there not some more mods to the 6 as well - new wheel styles and brake light in boot lid I think the article said??

Sure is out Hotcoupe, Went in Vines of Guildford with a mate this afternoon who is looking at an E92. Anyhow they had one in the showroom dark blue, cream beige with the new 19" alloys. Unfortunately it will be staying there as my 6 numbers did not come up again tonight.

They also had a 123d M sport 3 door hatch in the showroom. Did not know the engine had come out in that yet. I thought it was going to be launched in the up comming Coupe.

And they had a E93 White Conv and a Z4 in White.
It was not but it also was not

Autocar raved about the car, or more to the point the engine a couple of weeks ago. They thought it almost was as good as the 650i

I read that Autocar review - they were impressed as you say. The range does appear to be ever expanding especially in the 1 Series, not cheap though.

Know of a 650i that was written off 2 weeks ago, head on with a 3 series! Happened 2 miles up the road from me. 3 series driver is dead & the 650i driver may loose his leg but is alive. Worst of all, the 3 series driver's wife witnessed the accident in her rear view mirror - apparently she's under sedation. No surprise there then.

I would quite fancy a 635d Sport 'vert. Problem is they are a bit of a 'womans car' in my humble opinion (and I can't afford one!).

Had a look at one at the Stealers a couple of weeks ago,but couldn't get my head round the lack of room in the back compared to the E92

Nice car for the "older" bmer fan

FUCK THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! take it both cars were travelling somewhat faster than 30mph each, more like 60+ each!!! new 3 series? and he is dead?? How did the the wife see it her rear view mirror? she was in front in another caR?

cars destroy the human body in accidents!!! fuck that

surely the 3er was an E46??

Regarding a 6 series, i hated the heaps when they first came out late 2003, but now i like them alot, and would consider purchasing with my own cash a 645, 328BHP!!! 0-60 5.4!!!

Hi Carlos, it wasn't the speed that necessarily caused this horrible outcome. The road they were travelling along is wide enough to overtake - just. The widow was driving in front of her husband in a Mitsubishi Shogun. The 650i driver was travelling behind a white transit van, but too close as usual. He pulled out & saw the Shogun but obviously did not see the 3 series (E90) behind the Shogun because of the size of the vehicle. Shogun passes by & the 650i driver pulls out to overtake the transit van & wallop The widow saw this horrific event in her rear view mirror.

I am aquainted with the 650i driver through his father who was a good friend of my father. His father is a local multi-millionaire so can easily afford to buy his son such a car. All I will say is that I have had to get out of sons' way before today, as he drives like a t...t most of the time. The father already has a barrister 'in the wings' according to the local grapevine. Time will tell.

He's 35 years old & he apparently has been charged with 'causing death by wreckless driving'. Only a rumour at the mo. Believe me most other times he does try too fast in built up areas.

Thought this only happened a few weeks ago? you mean ''people think he will be charged with reckless driving''... usually takes months before it will end up in court and he will be charged!

The 'charge' has been muted as a most probable scenario, that is why his father has the barrister appointed already. These people are members at the golf club so it is very easy for me to get the 'low down' and everybody around here knows everybody anyhow which is good in some ways, but can be a bit irritating sometimes.

BTW O/T (before anyone shouts at me!) My mother read the thread about your Grandmother & asked me on the phone this morning if she was OK. I said apparently so - good news. So Carlos, even my mother knew

What's so unusual about that - she's only 64 and a young 64 at that, very with it. She only read the forum 'cos' I was on it. Loves the humour though

Bloody cheek - pan calling kettle grimy arse there Hotcoupe Anyhow she only read that one thread & is not likely to visit the forum again on her PC. Hadn't even noticed any past indiscretions on your part. Last but not least, I'm too old to be 'pulled into line' - beyond redemption
