Here is a link to someone else on the forum that had an issue similar to yours.

Hope that helps.
It was a good read, thanks. I think I will put this thing up in the air and check every nut and bolt under the front. I know my washers are correct I just verified that when replacing the strut mounts.

Thanks

need to check the washers... I think that is the problem why I am getting clunking at slow speeds.

The friend I spoke of earlier has sent his back to have them looked at a second time. I would contact them to see if you can get yours looked at.

Bilstien emailed me with the information, it should be that the washers are not placed properly. The washer with the lip needs to be facing the other way around...
I'll probably need to find another shop to take a look at my coils as the shop who installed it isn't willing to cover the extra costs of inspecting it.

For those who are wondering, PSS9 is one of the best coilovers money can buy... In high speeds it is quiet, stable and very responsive.
I've never owned KWs before but there is a difference when sitting in a friend's car with KW and my car with PSS9s.

Bumping an old thread, I think part of this issue is due to the bottom coil of the spring cutting into itself... I'm having the same issue at low speeds and checked my washers and they're fine.

Night and day difference in terms of performance.
OEM Suspension on these cars is just terrible...

Anyways, problem is when I am driving slowly over bumps or inclines, the front coils make this spring compression sound.

When I push the front end of the car down hard enough it makes a *clunk clunk* noise.

I've attached a photo of the coils being mounted on the car... Does it look normal to you?

I brought the car back to the shop that installed it, they said it is absolutely normal?! I couldn't believe it would be that loud. It sounds like something is loose in the front end of the car.

If anyone has any suggestions, let me know!

Nice job on the picture, great quality and angle, Bilstein should use that

Bringing old thread back to life ....ha....I have the same issue on my 335i Bilstein PSS10. When riding slow over small bumps makes pop pop noise. At high speeds and cornering you can't hear anything and is stable. Only when rolling about 5 - 10 mph over small bumps or inclines like you said. I have been driving like this for 1 year can't pin point the problem. Also like you said if you push down hard on the front of the car while parked makes pop pop noise. I am beginning to think that this is the guide Part# 31306775098 but uncertain as everything is tight. I do have vorshlag camber plates laying around which have a bigger bearing than stock. I might replace and see. Let me know if you actually found the culprit of this problem. Thanks! Oh ha I only have one washer and I did the install my self 3 years ago with no issues in the 1st 2 years.
