DME Updates/upgrades
Good day!
I just received my car today from the dealership. The car lost it low torque and boost from 3000 all the way to 7000 rpm. The feeling of DCT is no longer there. Was made to understand the new software is Early August which is meant for the vanos bolt replacement ? Questions : 1) Is this true ? 2) When is the latest DME software dated ? 3) Dealership said cannot revert to my old DME 4) What can be done to regain my characterisitic of my car again ? Pleased to hear. |

I just had the vanos recall done and they updated my software in the process (think it was required for the brakes)
Car response is significantly reduced from a standstill or just revving the engine in general. The car sounds quieter at cold starts and in general (it used to be loud and crack/pop/burble ALOT more) After reading some other posts, I believe that my car was de-tuned on this new "update" but the dealership and others have stated that the car might need time to "re adapt" I am a phone call away from demanding this be fixed. I am fairly certain they adjusted the waste gate characteristics..

ista 2.53 is the latest i-level update. I believe it became available late sept. I'm having DCT slip issues after the i-level update and I too asked if I could revert. Answer to me was NO as well

In the end i have to go to a indy shop whom specialised in bmws.
Issues resolved with 29 fault codes using autologic in 20 mins. Bmw took 14 days n never got it resolved. Thats incompetant n useless. |

All engine/throttle/valvetronic adaptations probably got reset. This always makes the car feel like shit for a while. I'd give it a couple weeks/couple hundred miles to adapt to your driving style.
