Reckless driving in this situation is a criminal misdemeanor in NY and I don't believe that this is in a normal traffic court. If it goes well with your lawyer you might be able to get to to just a normal traffic violation, avoid a criminal record, lessen points and keep your auto insurance from being raised.

If you get the points dropped it doesn't. But the speeding ticket + no signal is enough to get your license suspended..

Also, 11 points is automatic suspension of your license. Just keep that in mind.
