Arrow Help: When 800# says...

"your car is at the port waiting for a shipping vessel"

AFTER your car is unloaded from a ship and reaches the VPC, does it mean your car is on a truck to the dealer?

Basically, the 800# went from "in transit" to "your car is at the port waiting for a shipping vessel".

That's what happened to me a couple of weeks back and my car was at the dealer within a few days.

+1 I just assumed that message meant waiting for truck to transport from VPC to dealer.

The lady that is in that recording was off at the oktoberfest when they were taping the messages, so they had to reuse the one they already had.

"your car is at the port waiting for a shipping vessel" means, that your car has reached the port in Germany and is waiting to board a ship. It does not mean that your car is at the VDC. Read the stickies regarding order tracking and ship tracking to find out which ship your car is loaded on and then you will be able to determine when it will reach the VDC.

technically that it what it means, but if you have been enroute for a while i doubt the vessel went back to Germany and dropped your car off there. The robot lady doesnt really have accurate updates after your car is loaded on the vessel. your CA will have the best info

That's funny, the exact same thing happened to me, my vehicle was in transit on the Utopia Ace and supposedly arrived a few days ago, now it says "awaiting a shipping vessel"

It's probably a system error, I know my ship is in Charleston, SC now after unloading in NY. It's obviously not back in Germany haha...

That is correct. Once your car leaves the factory and arrives at the port, the 800# tracking is done.
