I think im going to do this to my 328i.

Already found a shop, but he told me deleting both resonator, AND muffler, and then adding straight pipe with these long looking thick tips (built in muffler?) i suppose, for about 250.

With borla tips i guess? i have no idea. I'm lost when it comes to how this all works.

Problem: I looked at my 328 (2008) and it has actually two pipes (duels?) that run together into the resonator, and then back into 2, and then into the muffler. So if i deleted all these, wouldnt tht cause it to be ALOT louder than what u guys are running on the 325 which is only one pipe i believe?

no, its the exact same. two pipes coming from the engine converge into one at the resonator and move on as one pipe to the muffler, then come out as two again after the muffler. on both 325 and 328.

Went in today to get a tire replaced, asked the techs if they ever seen anyone with the resonator and or muffler off the car, just running the pipes with cats and tips, and they told me that was a horrible idea, and would kill my warranty...

they're talking shit...
kill no warranty. It's just exhaust. It would kill your exhaust warranty but nothing else.
Don't believe what they say, I asked bmw canada and they said it was fine. It's like changing your muffler but instead adding a straight pipe, whats the diff?

I can see the muffler when i follow my friends E90 on the road so will it look funny without it?? Any one have the whole car pics that's without muffler?? Especially from the back.
Maybe i'll ask the shop to bent a round shape pipe b4 to the tip.

Anyone service their car at BMW after doing this mod? Did BMW give you a hard time about not having a muffler?

hahaha, not at all. I had some problems with my brakes, so i brought in my car, they took care of it, and the guy also complemented the sound of the car saying how it actually sounds really nice, and he's been thinking about doing this to his E46 3 series. ... ONLY if i had a problem with my exhaust (for some reason) then im sure they would give you a hard time...
