want to switch to 5x114.3, 17x9 or 18x9 square
So I want to switch to a 5x114.3 lug pattern using the 15mm adapter plates.
I am currently running 17x9 ET30 square set up. would like to keep that size but may switch to 18x9 to possibly open up more wheel options. would i just need to go like ET45 ish on offset? would i run into any fitment issues? anyone have any experience with this set up and wheel option ideas? thinking of getting Advan RS BTW i daily and track my car, i would use the wheels primarily as a track wheel x tire combo. Why do you want to do this? I'm assuming wheel choices? Also wheel hub adapters aren't the best idea for a track car...and I believe some tracks won't even let you run them, i.e. you'll fail tech inspection.

so if im running 18x9 +30 now, and i then if run a 18x9 +45 with a 15mm adapter the wheel & contact patch would be in the same location. Porsche even sells 17mm OEM spacers. also the adapter i would use would be hub centric as well. not going EBAY with this kit. I do not see how this could cause any accelerated wheel bearing wear if the wheel is the same distance from the hub. |

I understand your thought process, but since you'll be a tracking this, I'd check with whatever sanctioning body you plan on racing with as far as what their rule book says about spacers.
