AA compilation of Roads-risk rated.

We are all drivers who enjoy a good thrash every so often.

Makes interesting reading/viewing.

Good find that Carlos. I'm surprised Lincolnshire isn't showing with more 'red' routes as their fatality rate is high. Be interesting to see if the AA had more updated stats. and how things may have changed.

The red road running from Aberystwyth (mid Wales) is absolutely amazing.

(Llangurig to Aberystwyth)

This is the only time I have experienced seroius brake fade in a road car on the road.

Great drive, but some nasty drop-offs.

They only seem to have mapped motorways and A roads. I can't entirely see the point of that as they are all pretty safe .. just some (motorways) are safer than others.

One of their reasons for marking down a road as unsafe is 'potential to increase safety', so if every tree doesn't have a crash barrier, or if there are no speed cameras, or if the traffic lights are not on collapsible pole, or the lamp posts don't have pillows stuck to the them it gets a poor mark.

The really dangerous roads (country lanes) are not even on here.

A good idea, but the end result is a bit pointless IMO.
