Need some advice

Hey guys,

Found this forum while doing research on the 2010 e93. A buddy of mine is selling it and I want to know what you guys think of it and if it is a good deal or not. The car has downpipes, 7" FMIC, dual cone air filters and a COBB tune ( I know, cobb). It has the normal 9yr old issues with the body such as a few dings and paint chips and the interior has the normal peeling and scratches. He is asking $10.5 for the car and below is all the factory specs I pulled when I did a VIN search.

Tha car has almost 75k on it and I drove it yesterday. Everything felt good and sounded good. This will be my first BMW and I will also be purchasing a 3rd party extended warranty if I decide to pull the trigger on this. I already have a car so this will be a summer toy.

10.5 , reasonable miles , nice shape, if you want a cab for the nice nights , good deal.
I have a E92 love this car. So you may get hit with the usual suspects over the years but a performance car for 10K come on doesn't get much better than that.

Don't get the third part extended warranty, they are waste of money. They will refuse to pay out any claim and say it is a wear Item. Focus on preventative maintenance instead and the car will never fail on you.

Modded N54 would be a hard no for me. If you really need the power then go ahead, but if not try to find a 328i E93 with M Sport options. I just got one. Had to look for a while to find a manual gearbox with M Sport suspension etc. but now that I have it I'm very pleased.

Looks pretty nice. 10.5 seems a bit high but you pay for that convertible. You have to prepare yourself for the following maintenance/repairs:

Fuel injectors (unless it already has index 11 or 12)
Water pump and thermostat
Oil pan gasket
Valve cover gasket
Oil filter housing gasket
Trans filter/fluid change
Walnut blast

Check FCP Euro, ECS Tuning for prices. If you can't afford the above parts then don't get an N54.
