Exclamation Vehicle safety recall - initial notice UK

Hi all,

Just recieved this letter through from BMW Group UK.

Note my car is a 2007 E92 335i, Iím its second owner and its done approx 153k.

About 4 months ago it totally died, no lights, central locking, nothing just as I came to start it one morning. I called an auto spark I know who came out snd identified it to be a faulty connector from the positive battery cable into the back of the main fuse board in the passenger glove box. He said how it hadnt set on fire he didnt know!

Anyway, about £300 later it was back and repaired. Then this letter lands...

Question - can I go after BMW for my repair money back, I have the receipt/invoice.

Also, if anyone hasnt had this problem yet then its worrh checking out.
