Instruments and gauges LED to Blue & White

I removed all of my instruments and gauges. The orange LEDs drove me nuts, so I gave it a shot and swapped them out. I did a blue and white combination.
I even split the colors in the speedo cluster.

Nice work on all those!! How big a job was it? I've changed my dial LEDs but would have no idea about how to open all those switches, the radio etc. Impressive work and looks quite cool

Some are more intense than others. Some learning, some common sense and a lot of luck. The radio is much easier than you think and I learned that one the hard style. A two plus hour learning experience I can do in 15 minutes now. Thank you, it was fun doing it and even more fun enjoying it now.

I am waiting on supplies to do the ambient lighting on the doors this week. The ones in the top I will do at the same time. I was working on that board last night and forgot to change them then. The only one I couldn't change, was the Start/Stop button. Only 2v there to work with. Too low for White or Blue. And no access to the arrows on the cap on the CIC. I could see them with the cap off, but no getting to them. The ones around the glow ring were simple enough.

Thank you. I figured I would try something I hadn't seen done before and the double color worked well, so It got a home in my car. I had just gotten an M3 set and after this color change, I swapped it back out and sold back the M3 set.

If you are thinking about doing this yourself, here are some views of other colors. The OEM amber, white and red.

The white set is FS on the electronics parts board too.

I agree with you. The i8 certainly didn't stay with the dated amber instrumentation did it?

I really like the blue in mine obviousy, but the red would look totally awesome in a red and black interior or red exterior and black interior. The amber matches nothing.

Different. A bit too busy for my personal taste.
