That interior trim looks fantastic! Was it NOS, or did you guys find it on the used market?

Since the last update, I made some changes to the overall setup and I couldn't be happier with where the cars at.
Back in January I found a steal of a deal on a 3D Design rear diffuser to go with the 3D Design roof wing in Japan. Around the same time, I got some paint matched Silky Shark Project eyelids on Yahoo Auctions. Along with those exterior additions, I managed to get some extra dents on the car that hopefully can me PDR'ed Maintenance wise, the car is almost at 95k so some work had to be done. I got the valve cover gasket (was leaking bad), spark plugs, eccentric shaft sensor (was throwing codes), valvetronic motor gasket (was pretty caked), oil pan gasket (was leaking), water pump and thermostat taken care of. That's pretty big list looking back on it.. oops. Most of the work was done by Eric's Auto Lab in Schaumburg IL. Interior/electronic wise, I had a remote start put in and it's got to be one of the best creature comfort mods out there especially if you live somewhere where it snows I replaced the Eibach Pro rear springs meant for a RWD E92 with 10in 600# TCKline springs paired with their spring adjusters. The firmer spring rate and slightly higher rear ride height instantly transformed how the car behaves. Rear turn in and overall response is quite impressive with such a heavy car. I haven't aligned the car since raising the rear but plan on doing so once things calm down around the world. Intended alignment specs would be -1.5* camber F/R and 0* toe F/R One of my favorite and most personally anticipated additions has been the Laptorr rear exhaust. I ended up going with the comfort/standard model which maxed out at 92dB. Huge shoutout to Ryan@iND |

Nice updates! I just did all the same maintenance as you over the past 6 months. Prior to your rear spring change was your setup manageable? Any chance you have a video clip of the Euro tails blinking? Contemplating this mod.

I got these in Poland for about $80. I highly recommend you look at auction sites like eBay from European countries |

Many thanks!! And to answer your previous question, yes a RWD E92 Eibach Pro spring setup is manageable. I was getting a little too much compression in the rear on road dips. This was a problem for me because I was using a rear receiver and bike carrier that put an extra ~100lbs really far past the rear axle. I would scrape and sometimes smack the hitch brace on the road. Besides that very specific complaint, it's a very comfy setup that mimics our OEM ride quality. I'll be throwing the rear springs up for sale soon. Here is the ride height with the Eibach Pro springs also in the back. Notice the rear end squatting a lil bit: and with the TCKline rear springs set to their highest setting with the adjusters: |

Awesome update! Where'd you source the maple trim? It's a nice alternative to the brushed silver and brown woods.
Highly recommend the Euro tails. One of my favorite mods on my E91, too. I found a brand new pair on UK ebay for like $150 shipped.

Nice updates! I like the exhaust note too. I've wanted something for my e91 in this regard but nothing compared to the sound from the MPE, until I heard this...
Thanks and keep up the good work! |

Love the wagon man. I used to see it at the train station in CL all the time and always admired it. I've got the Dakar E36 M3/4, in case we ever run into each other!

Recently realized that pre lci E9X cars came with paint match windshield side trim that made the a-pillar look more filled up and decided to give it a try.
I found these pieces on eBay and they're in ok shape. They could definitely use a buff. Also removed the roof rack bars and I'm still unsure how I feel about it lol. They have been on the car since I got it back in 2017 Before: After: I've also been toying around with the idea of bringing over a 3D front lip. Photoshopped one on just to check it out. Maybe next year Last edited by squaredphoto; 05-13-2020 at 11:06 PM.. |
