Either way I'd have to swap my LSD over to the new ratio pumpkin, which requires backlash reset, therefore not cheap either. Interestingly, I tested my rev limiter and the hard limit is already 7500rpm, with the soft limit noticeable at 7200rpm. Sooo.... I dono what to do. Does the soft limit add safety for when the hard limit is hit? Or can I remove it and only have the 7500 hard limit? |

What tune do you have?
I always disable the softlimiter. It's pointless and annoying. So I set both the high/low thresholds to the same value, and disable the valvetronic limiter (it reduces lift after 6500rpm). The factory rev limiter was what I hated the most about the factory tune, and what lead me to develop tuning for the N52 in the first place. Ugh! |

I love the disgust! Hahaha
It's an Australian (euro) 02/2006 E87 130i. It doesn't have any tune yet (that I know of). I may get one from you once I decide which path to take. I am confused and surprised by the 7500rpm hard limit... |

Oh dear... I hope not considering that the acceleration wasn't that impressive when it had the stock 3.46 ratio diff.
My partner also has a neat low km 130i and hers has noticeably more torque. I should test the limiter on hers (while she's not looking lol). Maybe it's just an Aussie thing... cause we go hard straya! Can you tell if it's got a tune if I send you "the files"? Could it be of any use to you?
