Going a different route. No issues. Only thing done was a notch on the lower mounting location to make it fit properly on convertibles (there's a support bar that is in the way on E88s). Doesn't affect anything else. Will fit perfectly. Will include a cleaning/oil kit as well. I will post actual pics later when I get a chance. stock photo attached

The aFe cold air intake system consists of a plastic, rotational mold intake tube that allows lower temperatures and increased air flow, a durable powder-coated heat shield with a clear-coat aluminum cover, and aFe's Pro 5R , 5 layered oil filter. This system produced 7hp and 7 lbs. x ft. torque and flowed 60% over stock.

Notes: For BMW 3-series (non-turbo) with active steering, refer to P/N 54-11862.

Had it about 5 months. Filter can be washed and air dried and meant to last quote a while
