Good morning all, I need your opinion on this
My car E91 2006
Issue , driver door lock it's not unlocking via remote, sometimes it locks but it never unlocks all other doors work fine.
I have read many posts regarding actuator , confusing is do we have to change both front actuators?

I had the same happen 4 years ago on the front passenger door. Got the lock actuator changed and it's been fine ever since. Just change the broken one.

Mines done the same, will not unlock from fob or centre button, and will only lock using fob/centre control.
Does anyone have a link to this fix?

I had the same problem on my e46. As Stote and bishbosh say, Just the faulty actuator is needed to be replaced. Not sure if any coding is needed on e9x? But I doubt it.

No coding needed, just replace the part , you might need some plasters for your fingers

It's really easy just get the actuator and the correct tools , there is no need to remove any parts from the door , just make sure window is up and you will get this done quickly!

Thanks Stote, worked a treat at the weekend and replaced my passenger door actuator with no issues.
Now, I am getting a Boot Open warning sign when I drive off, clearly the boot is not open. I've had this issue before and the fix was with the wiring loom in the boot right-hand side. Cost me £120 gues most of this was labour to do.
Checked the wiring loom all seems fine.
