Wagner EVO II Competition and VRSF 7" High Density are top contenders for best result.
Evolution Racewerks is another really good option

Can only speak from experience with the VRSF but it was 100% worth the upgrade from stock.

Had my eye on that vrsf 7”HD for a while but wasn’t sure, cheap price, and good reviews. I’m going with that thanks for your help🙏🏼

You won't regret it! Feel free to check out my review thread on the 7HD, the reliability makes it a great investment regardless of your power goals.

ER has really stood the test of time hasn’t it? Surprising that it still can compete with the newer options out there.

ER makes a phenomenal product and they're always one of the only options we would ever recommend if our products are out of stock but the VRSF 7" HD will outperform the ER intercooler at almost half the cost.

If you do a quick search you'll quite a few comparison threads where customers have upgraded from the ER to our similarly sized 7" HD or our much larger Race intercooler where their IAT's actually drop during pulls.

Any experience with BMS intercooler? Perhaps my poor search skills but there seem to be no reviews at all.

Whats the consensus on the ARM 7inch intercooler with hose upgrade?

Seems reasonably well made for the money and I like the idea of eliminating a couple joints on the cold side to avoid future boost leaks and smooth out airflow on both sides.

I will be running methanol primarily for charge cooling before summer hits also, so it doesnt need to be the best of the best but for flow and pressure loss are my largest concerns.

I recommend a high quality 5" stepped core intercooler for your mods

Wagner EVO I (on sale), VRSF and Active Autowerke are all good options

since you have methanol injection, the 5" will be enough for cooling + has better pressure drop than 7" + lighter weight

Thanks a ton for the kind words guys, we always appreciate when customers share their feedback with our products.

We've made significant improvements to our intercooler line since we first introduced our first intercooler for this platform almost a decade ago and we're proud of the fact that our intercoolers are being used on multiple record holding N54's.

Interesting that you mention pressure drop. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a fmic and an a little worried about pressure drop. I live at 5000' above sea level and it only gets in the mid 80's in the hottest part of summer with minimal humidity (my ambient air pressure on my logs is usually 12.4). I already get lag due to the environment here, and am worried it will be more pronounced with a 7" fmic. I plan on purchasing dps at the same time, and was even considering inlets with the intent of making things as easy on my stock turbos as possible. Do you have any thoughts on a 5" stepped ic vs 7" for my situation?

I would get a 5" intercooler with these temps

Does any other company offer the 1 piece hose design on the cold side like ARM?

(i assume it was copied from somewhere)

I'm really dissatisfied with the fitment of my BMS chargepipe and eliminating their chargepipe to intercooler pipe coupler would really help fitment issues.

Still uses stock connections. There are better options for the price from a performance aspect.

Oh just wait, someone will jump and be all over this thread about how CSF is Wagner copy, with restrictive connections, inferior core made in China and how you should by something else instead
