MFactory twin disc clutch install guide

I had to reinstall my MFactory twin disc clutch today to replace a stud and made a how-to for installing it. I couldn't find a guide specifically for this kit and figured I'd make one.

The flywheel and floating plates are balanced, so the orientation isn't too important, but it is always good practice to mark things before you disassemble anyway

I have a question about the install.
I did not take note when taking my clutch apart... I know I should have

What way does this part go in. Bolts to flywheel or nuts to flywheel? (Pic off web. I think this is the sprung hub?)

That’s a different kit it looks like, I wouldn’t want to give you the wrong info on it. What brand is it?

Not sure what the kit in the photo is. I have the mfactory twin clutch. But don't have a pic of that part. Looks very similar

Maybe that’s what their sprung hub looks like; mines unsprung.

Yes Mine is the spring hub. i saw your pics and they are very different.

What torque spec did you tighten the replacement stud to? I had to remove all mine and put them on a different flywheel.

I think ~20ft/lb for rear stud bolt to flywheel, not too tight. Used red loctite on the bolt.

did anyone ever determine which side goes agains the flywheel? nut side or bolt side? i am having the same issue right now

I took a guess figured 50/50 chance. I forget what way I did it, but I dont think it matters. Make sure you get the release bearing the correct way, I had mine wrong the first time, had t ok do the whole job twice.
