Injector index mixing

I think I know the answer already but just want to confirm:

Index 11-12 can be mixed in banks ie: (11,12,11)

Cant mix 1-10 with 11-12 even if in separate banks ie:
Bank 1 (8,8,8) Bank 2 (12,12,12)

Reason I'm asking is I have a leaky injector in Cyl 2 only.
I was thinking of buying 3 new index 12 and replacing the entire bank instead of just the one and would end up having two (still good) injectors incase any others fail in the future.

I haven't checked what index I have now as I'm away from home up north (should have looked when I replaced spark plugs a few weeks ago) but wanted to order them from FCP so they will be home by the time I get back.

I guess if they are index 11 in that bank I could just replace the one...

From BMW SIB:

"Injectors with index 11 and higher have a different calibration and construction than injectors with index 10 and lower.

Due to this difference, the injectors with index 11 and higher and injectors with index 10 and lower cannot be mixed on the same engine bank (i.e., cylinders 1-3 or 4-6).

Once a bank of injectors is at index 11 or higher, the "bank set replacement" requirement no longer applies. For index 11 injector failures, only replace the failed injector."
