I am having the same driverside low beam issue. It's 2011 328xi with H7 bulb. Can you please point me on how to locate 2011 bmw 328i headlight control module and what it looks like?

I recently replaced my low beam headlight with a pair i bought off eBay, same day I installed them I get a dipped beam error on the cluster. As I'm driving I notice my drivers side headlight goes out but turned back on for a few minutes then went back out. I'm hoping its just a defective bulb or ballast. I ordered two other D1S bulbs from a different eBay seller and will be installing them today, hope this resolves the dipped beam error message. Maybe I should bite the bullet and buy the LUX H8 180.

My passenger headlight went out Friday night randomly. I replaced the bulb but that didn't work. My next thing to do is change the Ballast/Xenon control module because it's just the d1s light that's out so I would assume it's not the headlight control module right?

I also have the same issue on my 2011 328i with halogen lights. Did changing the headlight control module work?

Hi,

While this topic about low beam problem maybe you will have any ideas about my problem.
Mine 2007 e91 (with original addaptive xenons) has left side dipped beam fault, also there are cornering system fault.
Dipped beam is not working on left side, but when i tried to turn on headlights over INPA both side dipped beam worked fine. Checked the fault codes on INPA, there are error code for "StepperMotorBox" (error: 9CBF). Could this error cause not only cornering fault, but also not letting left dipped beam to light on when light switch is on "Auto" position?

I will change left side headlamp vertical control unit (as diagnostic tools pulls me this error), but I'm concerned that light is not working, and only works over INPA in bulb test mode.

Maybe someone had this issue? :/

Hi all,

My passenger headlight is out. I've been trying to repair my car for a month now. I've replaced the ballast, ds1 bulb, checked fuses and still the lights don't seem to turn on. Only the corner led light works and no low or high beams.

As a last effort, I hooked the passeger headlights on the drivers side and turn on just fine. Do I have a bad wiring haress? Please help

My lights is a bi xenon adaptive headlights on an E92.

I’m having similar issues. Drivers side adaptive headlights and low beams not working on my 08 335i. I replaced the ballast box, adaptive headlight motor, and control box. They were all fried due to water intrusion in my headlight. I’m getting a code for the FRM so I’m going to try and either get that recoded or buy another one.

Look into resetting the short circuit counter in the FRM module

Ok, maybe this can help some folks out. My 2011 E90 halogen driver side low beam stopped working. Doesn't matter what the bulb. I bought another headlight and tried and still didn't work so something is bad with the wiring harness or the wiring.

So I ended up wiring the low beam positive wire to the left turn signal light which does light up to give it power. The problem with this is that you will still get the error that says the bulb is out but the low beam works and when you signal the light bulb also blinks. But atleast it works and doesn't need an expensive fix.

I'm gonna find out how to code out the head light error but atleast it works.
