LUX V4 Angel Eyes shutting off after 1-minute
I recently installed Lux V4 H8 angel eyes on my 2007 e90 335i w/ LCI AHL xenons.
Prior I had the Lux V3 w/o any problems. Now with the V4's they stay on w/ no problems when the ignition is on/ car off however when the car is on the V4's will only illuminate for approx 1-minute and then turn off. Even if I turn the light switch back off, then on, still nothing. Car has to be turned off then back on for the V4's to illuminate (again only for 1-minute). Has anyone else experienced this or know of a solution? Thanks |

After some more research I believe this is due to the fact that my 2007 e90 w/ upgraded LCI AHL Xenons has a FRM1 footwell module. I have ordered a FRM2 and will install/code hopefully this weekend. I will update thread if that solves problem.

Pretty sure LUX mention when purchasing that they do not work in the earlier 2007 models..
If you do manage to fix them I can imagine LUX would be very happy for you to let them know how as they are working on them at the moment as far as I am aware. |

I have the similar problem but only my driver side and when the projectors turn on. I too have an 07 but e92 with very similar angels basically identical and adjustable blue to white forgot the brand but they don't those any more(lux sued them lol) but idk the FRM2 is that what I need? Or do I need to get coded?

Idk I bought them from a friend these are what they http://www.ebay.com/itm/JUST-CAME-OU...p2047675.l2557
I read it's because I'm an early 07 build. What exactly needs to be coded for these work? I'm getting the car coded any ways but the guy asked exactly what's needs for the angel eyes. The eyes work when the projectors aren't on so it's not the lights it's self. I read a horror story of one mans ecu got fried from it so that also scared me. Thanks |

Try turning on just the angel eyes and wait for 2 mins.... do they shut off or stay on? I just picked up an FRM2 yesterday so Im gonna try to install and code this week. Ill let you know what happens.
My guess is if you have an early 07 you have an FRM1 footwell module and most likely thats your problem. Coding by itsely (w/ an FRM1) will not solve the problem. This is my guess so dont quote me 100%. |
