Rear diff coming off 335i

Hi everyone,

I have a bmw 335d (E92 coupe) and wanting to remove a rear differential from a 335i to replace mine with. My question is, are the rear differentials for 335d and 335i (both e92) the same? Will the gear mounting points and ratios match?

Thanks

I'm not sure about the mounting points, but I assume they are the same. You would probably need to swap the output shafts though.
The ratios are definitely different
