Ontario's new Emission Laws

So April Next year we will not have to do emissions in Ontario. That means Catless DP installs without any issues. What do people think about that ? Pretty sweet eh ?

Yeah I guess it's odd. I'm wondering what is the official statement/reasoning behind this and I'm wondering what it is?

Although I'm glad for you guys. Haven't had them in Quebec and it's such a breeze doing exhaust mods, until you get pulled over and forced to get an inspection..

I was big into sports bikes about 5 years ago. Use to ride a Ninja zx1000 with no cat for years. Never once did i get pulled over or asked anything by police. That thing was LOUD. I think police in Quebec are very different in the way they operate.

Man must have been nice. I want a bike but I think I will die on one , will probably get one when older.

Thought that was a myth but the more I get into cars and car groups the more seems to be true that in Quebec it's bad.

I love MONTREAL. My fav city in the world and i have seen almost all of Europe.

Cops there tend to be more picky i find but w e.

I never thought about how dangerous riding was until i stopped doing it. Look back at my video and glad to be alive today.

Rob Ford was the one that wanted to scrap it back when he was a major. He flat out said it was a cash grab. I'm assuming his brother is finishing it off.

Yeah Montreal is nice for sure.

Hahaha yeah, and even if you would drive like really safely, someone can just run into you don't see you and nothing you can do since he's driving. That's really the main thing that worries me.

Just that these types of things rarely go away. Whatever their actual reasoning was to implement it in the first place, once they're in and mandatory they tend to stay that way. Regardless, it's great for the modders up there.

How does Canada handle the emissions testing? Is it the government, itself, who operates the test stations, or is it farmed out to a private company? In my state(TN, US) they are operated by a private contractor. Each test costs $9 and it has to happen annually in order to renew our license plate tags, also required annually. The state/county, of course, gets a piece of each of those $9. Yet, 1 or 2 counties over and no emissions testing is required.

Ohhi see yes it becomes a platform for different political parties. Liberals come in next and can implement something again you are right.

Yes what is happening in your state is the same pretty much they were making money. Except ur state it is private and my state it goes to a corrupt government.
